CARGRAPHIC / HJS Catalytic Converters
3-way catalytic converters serve to improve the pollutants emitted by the combustion engine. They convert carbon monoxide (CO), hydrocarbons (HC) and nitrogen oxides (NOx) into carbon dioxide (CO2), nitrogen (N2) and water (H2O).
For this purpose, catalytic converters are installed directly in the exhaust tract and consist either of ceramic, silicon carbide or metal. Their honeycomb construction ensures a maximum enlarged surface area. This has a different density and is measured or specified in cells per square inch (cpsi). The conversion of the pollutants themselves is triggered by an applied coating of the cells.
However, the design and composition of standard catalytic converters is often a compromise between production costs and cleaning performance to the detriment of flow and durability, especially under high performance conditions.
The replacement of the original catalytic converters therefore offers enormous potential for noticeable and measurable improvements.
Simply designed sport catalytic converters from the accessory trade usually have a T10 (10g/ft3) coating. These usually offer improved flow characteristics, but due to the inferior coating, at the expense of poorer cleaning performance and lower durability.
This is where CARGRAPHIC catalytic converters come in, which were developed in close cooperation with HJS and Emitec: CARGRAPHIC is the exclusive aftermarket partner of HJS for development and distribution for the Porsche model series.
High-quality T38 coating with 4 times the amount of precious metals
In contrast to conventional sports catalytic converters, CARGRAPHIC catalytic converters are coated with much higher quality T38 coating - Almost 4 times the amount of precious metals, consisting of Platinum, Palladium and Rhodium.
HD-Matrix
CARGRAPHIC catalytic convert have a honeycumb body constructed in HD-Matrix design which stands for High-Durability.
Radial Groove
The radial groove in the jacket prevents any movement of the honeycomb body under high exhaust pressure and thus supports its longevity.
Together with the T38 tri-metal coating developed exclusively for CARGRAPHIC, the CARGRAPHIC catalytic converterensures exhaust emission values at vehicle manufacturer level, while at the same time increasing flow capacity and the associated significantly lower exhaust back pressure.
More Power - Constant OBD values
Thanks to this feature, CARGRAPHIC catalytic converters are particularly suitable for high-performance vehicles or sports cars whose performance is to be significantly increased without manipulating the original OBD2 values in the engine control unit.
CARGRAPHIC HD T38 tri-metal catalytic converters are available in various diameters, both with 200 cpsi, especially for Porsche models, and with 300 cpsi, especially suitable for McLaren vehicles, for example.
The T38 coating of the CARGRAPHIC catalytic converters ensures CO values at vehicle manufacturer level and thus reliably prevents the occurrence of check engine error messages. A corresponding re-programming of the engine control unit is therefore not necessary.

PERFORMANCE Made in Germany for CARGRAPHIC TS
Only HJS catalysts marked "for CARGRAPHIC TS" have the special HD matrix structure and the high-quality T38 coating.
Attention: Not all aftermarket catalytic converter conversions are ABE or TUEV, proven and certified via emission test, vehicle specific tested. Therefore the conversion might not be road legal.
All CARGRAPHIC / HJS catalytic converters have a 2-year limited warranty, which expires if used for off road, race track or Motorsport purposes.
For Motorsport purposes, off road or race track use we recommend our special HD PE 100 cpsi MS Motorsport stainless steel or Inconel catalytic converters - DME / ECU programming might be required. Motorsport parts are high performance products for specific applications without any warranty or liability.
